Northern Animal Rescue Inc. provides a crucial lifeline for at-risk companion animals, specializing in outreach to underserved Northern communities. Our programs are designed to address the unique logistical and welfare challenges of remote areas, offering a full spectrum of care from rescue to adoption and preventative services. Our core initiatives and offerings include: Northern Community Rescue & Transport: We facilitate the safe and organized rescue of abandoned, neglected, and stray animals from remote Northern communities. This includes coordinating flights and ground transport to bring animals safely out of areas lacking veterinary care and shelter infrastructure and into our network. Comprehensive Veterinary Care: Every rescued animal receives immediate and thorough medical attention. This encompasses essential vaccinations, microchipping, emergency treatment for injuries, and ongoing care for chronic conditions. We ensure all animals are healthy before they enter the adoption process. Spay/Neuter & Wellness Initiatives: We actively work to address the root causes of overpopulation and suffering. We organize and fund high-volume spay/neuter clinics in Northern communities, often in partnership with local groups, to provide essential, accessible preventative veterinary services. Rehabilitation & Foster Care Network: We utilize a dedicated network of foster homes to provide personalized care and behavioral rehabilitation. This program helps animals socialize, recover from trauma, and adjust to home life, preparing them for a successful, lifelong adoption. Adoption and Rehoming Program: We diligently screen applicants and match animals with loving, permanent adoptive families. Our process includes comprehensive checks and post-adoption support to ensure a stable and successful transition into their new homes. Community Education & Partnership: We collaborate with local Northern leaders and schools to promote responsible pet ownership, provide educational resources, and teach humane animal handling practices. Our goal is to build sustainable, local capacity for animal welfare.
